Using the Correct Ruler

Sometimes, the guys controlling the synapses are asleep at the switch, and things I've always known are momentarily gone. It's one thing when I know that to be the case — knowing what I don't know — such as seeing an actress on the screen and being asked who it is. I knew until I was asked. It's not knowing that I don't know that's the bigger problem...not realizing that I've forgotten, because the switchman hasn't fallen asleep, he's thrown the wrong switch.

Drupal 7 Beta 1 Released

I was starting to lose hope when Alpha 5 came out, and was despondent by the time Alpha 7 did. I'm plugging along with the book, half way through the first draft, but at least 25% will need to be revisited to complete examples that hit brick walls because of things just not working as they should, yet, such as custom fields not appearing in the Views sort criteria field list.

Dumping a Single MySQL Table

I recently needed to test out some new code on my local version of a client's site. I ran into a problem, because keys and information that I needed for the testing were in the live version of the database, but not in my version. I needed to import new data, but this was a huge database, so I only wanted the one table rather than the entire database.
